MICHAEL MCDERMOTT, O.D.

Dr. McDermott graduated from the University Of San Diego High School. He received undergraduate degrees in biology and psychology from San Diego State University. From there, he earned his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of California at Berkeley in 1981. He has practiced with ophthalmologists from 1981-1994 and has had his own practice since 1982.

In his spare time, he cares for his classic Cougar, Mustang, Parklane and F-100 cars, travels to Asia and enjoys his relatively new passion, restoring the USS Hornet aircraft carrier along with a WWII Avenger torpedo plane since 1998.
